The Register database provides up-to-date information on full-scale renewable energy projects. The information is constantly being updated and extended, and a new release has just been issued containing over 350 project entries. The Register has become a well respected source of information on renewable energy projects around the world.

Full access to the database can be obtained by all, free of charge, from the CADDET Web site:

There are currently over 2,000 registered users of the Register on the Internet.

For those without Web access, the Renewable Energy Register is also available on diskette for PC machines. To obtain the Register on diskette, contact your National Team (see back page for details) or the CADDET Centre if you are from a non-member country. (Note: there is a charge of 30 for orders of the diskette version from the CADDET Centre).

The database is compiled from information provided by the 12 CADDET Renewable Energy member countries. It contains data on the renewable energy technologies: Wind, Biomass, Waste, Active Solar, Passive Solar, Photovoltaics, Hydro and Geothermal.

The Register provides you with:

  • a project description, including background, technical and energy performance details, economic data and information on associated environmental issues;
  • information on further sources of relevant literature;
  • information on how to contact the organisations involved with the project.
